Welcome to Chicago Speech Therapy! From humble beginnings to a leading multidisciplinary practice, our journey is driven by a commitment to providing exceptional care for children with speech and language challenges.

2009

Karen George, MS, CCC-SLP, founded Chicago Speech Therapy. With a passion for helping children develop their communication skills, Karen began by offering in-home speech therapy services across Chicago. Her dedication quickly earned her a reputation for delivering effective and compassionate care.

2011

As the demand for high-quality speech therapy grew, Karen’s husband, Quinn, joined the practice, bringing his entrepreneurial expertise to help expand the business. This marked the beginning of Chicago Speech Therapy’s growth.

2012

Chicago Speech Therapy moved into its first clinic located at 1422 W Willow St in Bucktown, Chicago. This new location allowed us to better serve our clients and expand our services.

2014

We opened a second location in Bucktown to accommodate the increasing number of families seeking our services. Additionally, we expanded our services to include occupational therapy, addressing a broader range of developmental needs for our clients.

2015

As the Chicago Speech Therapy practice continued to grow Karen and her team recognized that many children could benefit from a therapeutic day program that addressed a wide range of key developmental skills, such as speech and language, social skills, behavior, motor skills, and more. This idea led to the beginning of CST Academy, a therapeutic preschool-styled program.

2016

Recognizing the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, we introduced Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to our range of services. This addition enabled us to provide more comprehensive care to our clients.

2017

We continued to grow by adding physical therapy to our services. This expansion transformed Chicago Speech Therapy into a full-service multidisciplinary practice, supporting every aspect of a child's development.

2020

To accommodate the growing number of families seeking our services, we opened a new clinic in Lincoln Park at 2121 N Clybourn. That same year, our team grew to over 200 dedicated professionals, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional care.

2022

We expanded to the North Shore with a new location in Wilmette. This expansion allowed us to serve even more families and bring our comprehensive care to new communities.

2023

Our latest clinic opened in Northbrook, continuing our tradition of growth and dedication to providing high-quality speech and therapy services to children across the region.

"We had the most wonderful experience with Chicago Speech Therapy! Our speech pathologist, Miss Megan, developed a bond with our son almost immediately. By week two, he would await her arrival by the window in our front door! She quickly discovered all of his favorite things and would bring so many toys of her own that would keep him engaged and wanting to talk! She gave us (parents) tons of strategies to work with on our own in between her weekly visits. Our son made consistent progress under her care and has now been released from speech therapy ~ which actually makes us so sad ~ simply because we miss Miss Megan!
