Frequently Asked Questions

Speech therapy is individualized for every child to meet his or her unique strengths and areas of concern. The sessions will also incorporate your child’s interests to increase engagement in sessions, which leads to greater progress and gains throughout the therapeutic process.

To promote the generalization of skills to settings outside of speech therapy sessions, the sessions follow a naturalistic approach in your home or your child’s school (depending on the structure of your child’s school program). Chicago Speech Therapy can also provide services at the practice’s state-of-the-art facility located around Lincoln Park and Bucktown in the city of Chicago.

What People Are Saying

  • Mandy at Chicago Speech Therapy was awesome with our 20 month old daughter. She was playful and engaging. She taught me how to work better with my daughter. Most importantly, she was honest and told us when she thought we were on track and didn’t keep coming when it was unnecessary. I feel like she’s a short email away if we need her!
  • We are so happy to have found Chicago Speech Therapy. We were placed with Johanna Drucker and she was an absolute asset to our family. Our son went from not being able to string 2 words together to saying 3 and 4 word sentences, all within just a few visits from Johanna. Johanna’s therapy sessions were fun and incredibly effective for our son. He can’t stop talking now! Thank you Johanna and Chicago Speech Therapy.
  • Kristen at Chicago Speech Therapy is amazing. She has been working with my son for over a year and I couldn't be happier. She is patient, structured and caring. My son looks forward to seeing her each week and enjoys every minute working on his sounds! What 5 year WANTS to work on articulation and intelligibility issues? I can tell you my son does because he views it as a play date!
  • My experience with Chicago Speech Therapy has been stellar. They are caring, professional, extremely convenient, and do their best to work with the parents to do whatever is in the best interest of the child they are treating.
  • CST lives up to their stellar reputation!! Our three year old son made great strides in his speech development over the six months of therapy he received. However, the lasting memory of CST will be the focused, sensitive and successful work of our therapist Emily Liston, our son adored her and looked forward to her visits every week, we will miss her.
